TAMERLANE REQUIRED DRESS AND SCRIPT NOTICE

*We request that all participants and spectators keep their scripts as low as possible when not equipped to compete. 51 is a good high number to shoot for. Try not to be over that!

*Magic tournaments are 1 of the 2 tournaments where Bri does not require medieval dress. We invite mages from all eras to compete as long as they use the approved huds, meters and follow the rules. We welcome future mages, and modern mages alike, as we have had Seidhrs, Ancient Shamans, Oracles, androids from the future, witches, and Harry Potter mages compete in the past.

Note: Other realms may have different rules for dress and who may participate.

TOURNAMENT RULES AND TOURNAMENT STYLES

RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE NEED TO CREATE NEW ONES AS AGREED UPON BY PARTICIPATING REALM LEADERS

TOURNAMENT TYPES

  • Tournaments can be 1 vs 1, Team combat, Team Magic, or Free for all, the last mage standing. NO NON-MAGICAL WEAPONS!

  • Each 1 vs 1 dual will be 3 rounds. Most 1 v 1 duals last as long as 10 minutes. If the duals go over 10 minutes, the combatant with the highest health will be declared the winner. Resetting the meter at this time before the officials give the go-ahead will lead to disqualification. NO NON-MAGICAL WEAPONS!

  • Free for all, last mage standing can take up to half-hour depending on how many participants are present. If you fall, Shout ” OUT” so the official(s) can confirm you are out and return to the sitting area. NO NON-MAGICAL WEAPONS!

  • TEAM MAGIC – You will be divided into equal teams, and the Free for all rules apply. NO NON-MAGICAL WEAPONS!

  • TEAM COMBAT BATTLES - This is one occasion where you CAN use non- magical weapons! Each team will consist of at minimum, 1 mage, 1 archer, 1 melee. May the team with the best strategy win! Free for all rules apply. If there are more than 2 teams competing, the remaining times will duel to the death! If there are not enough people to make equal teams of three, the remaining competitors will be placed into the teams. We encourage at least 2 mages depending on how many people are in a team.

TOURNAMENT RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

  • To keep the target areas as equal as possible, as with all tournaments, the minimum height requirement is 6’1. All contestants should be in a standard humanoid shape. Example: You are a Demon, you may come as a demon as long as you are a normal-sized width…. If you are a lycan, you must be in normal-sized width and tournament height. You may not wear the large or mega lycan, centaur, minotaur, etc avatars.

  • You must be ready when it is your turn. You will enter the arena, and start when the official sets the timer apple and you are told to start.
  • Contestants may not sit while competing.

  • No flying allowed

  • No extreme: Pushers, Orbiters, Laggers that are used with the intent to crash a sim, etc. You will be disqualified.

  • No NPV’s allowed. NPV = Non-Physical Vehicle. For tournament purposes, this means no anti pushers, or move lock!

  • If you need to relog, let the officials know. You will have 2 minutes to return, or you will be forfeit.

  • In case of a crash, you will be given 2 minutes to return, or you will be forfeit.

  • If you enter or disrupt a duel: Healing a person who is dueling, stepping into the battle zone, causing an un-official interruption to the battle, you will be automatically disqualified if you are competing, and/or ejected from the tournament/arena area.
