"Aye, I’ve been to the Swashbuckler Fens. Tis a wretched hive of scum and villainy. And that’s one of its charms!

Don’t let the limited sunshine fool you. It’s a dark place, more akin to a swamp than one of your vacation spots. But you can get anything you want there. Just be sure you watch your coin purse. You may find it lifted.

Pirates and ruffians abound throughout the Fen, but they aren’t the only beasts. Mermaids, ravenous crows, and a crocodile that may take you to Neverland are but a few of the treacherous creatures you may encounter.

There is also tell of an old woman with mystic powers. She may or may not help you, depending on her mood. Some even tell tales of winding up “under the sea,” but that’s just a drunken sailor’s tale, right?

If treasure be what ye seek, you can find it in the Fens. But watch your step, for each may be your last."
