Section 1. Why Tamerlane is rated adult

Intro

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Kingdom of Tamerlane!

Tamerlane is not a sexually roleplay-driven estate, but we are rated Adult to keep players under 18 years of age (21 in some countries) off our sim for our protection.

In the past, Tamerlane was a mature estate until a player stated they were 21 years old and stole her mother’s credit card to play Second Life. After her Real-Life father contacted me, Bri McMahon, it was discovered she was only 14 years old, and the real-life 18-year-old she married in Second Life was almost prosecuted until the truth came out. For this reason, we and all sims MUST protect ourselves.

To participate in an adult sim, you are stating you are 18 years or older. We at Tamerlane are not liable for someone under-aged lying about their age to any of our members or Linden Labs.

Child Avatar and Under-Age Person Policy

PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE IN REAL LIFE ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN PG13 AREAS AND THE FOLLOWING

2. MOVIE THEATER,
3. TOURNAMENTS (AT THE TOURNAMENT FIELDS, MAIN ENTRY AREA, OR NEVERMORE WATERWAYS),
4. THE PARK INCLUDING GARDEN, OUTDOOR VENUE, AND SKATING RINK,
5. TO SHOP AT A STORE IN THE REALM AS THOSE ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

YOU WILL BE LEGALLY HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

Section 2. More common sense shit that needs to be addressed

I hate when adults don't have any common sense, and these stupid rules have to be written.

Agreement of 18 and over policy

BY ENTERING TAMERLANE ESTATES, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE OVER 18 YEARS OLD
2. YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE NOT OFFENDED BY VIOLENCE, SEXUAL CONTENT, OR ADULT LANGUAGE
3. YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT HOLD THE OWNER OF THE SIM/ESTATE OR ITS LEGAL PARTICIPANTS LIABLE.

 

Sex and Nudity:

We reserve the right to amend this section at any time as needed

1. NO CHILD AVATARS, EVEN IF THEY ARE OVER 18 REAL LIFE ARE TO BE PRESENT DURING ANY SEXUAL ROLEPLAY; CHILD AVATARS ARE TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY IF THEY WALK INTO A SEXUAL SITUATION. NEVERMORE ALONE HAS 8 DIFFERENT LEVELS YOU CAN RUN OFF TO!

2. ERP MAY HAPPEN ANYWHERE ON SIM IN THE PRIVACY OF YOUR OWN IM BOX!

3. PLEASE NO: SEX ANIMATIONS, SOUNDS, ETC.

4. SEXUAL TYPING OF ROLE-PLAY SHOULD TAKE PLACE IN YOUR IM BOXES ONCE IT GETS “HEATED.”

5. WE ARE A CONSENT-BASED ESTATE! NO MEANS NO! LIMITS ARE A THING; RESPECT THEM! IF SOMEONE HAS SAID NO TO YOUR ROLEPLAY DEMAND, BACK OFF THEM.
CONSENT IS GIVEN BY WORD OR ACTION AND MAY BE REMOVED AT ANY TIME. IF THE CONSENT IS REVOKED, YOU MUST STOP IMMEDIATELY.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BULLY THE PERSON WHO SAID “NO.” DOING SO MAKES YOU A DOUCHEBAG, AMONG OTHER THINGS, AND YOU WILL BE BANNED.

6. WHILE WE RESPECT THE BDSM AND D/s LIFESTYLE, PLEASE DO NOT WALK YOUR “PET” ON A LEASH WITHOUT IC REASONS.

UNDERGROUND LEVEL:

  1. SPEAKEASY/GAME ROOM (Unless an Adult-Only event has been planned in advance.)
  2. MOVIE THEATER

Tasteful nudity is allowed at (sex is not allowed):

Tasteful nudity is defined as topless, non-erect penises and non-open vaginas. Bodies in their natural state depict non-sexual and non-aroused forms.
We reserve the right to amend this section at any time as needed. Child avatars must leave if they come across a nude scene.

THIS SECTION WILL BE AMENDED AS THE “NEW PLANES” ARE COMPLETED!

  1. DRUID’S GROVE (Rituals or Drum Circles are often done skyclad or in bathing suits as comfort allows. If a child avatar is attending a ritual or participating in a Drum Circle, everyone must be in a bathing suit or fully clothed. Child avatars must let event organizer know of their plan to attend in advance.)

Final agreement of entry

FULL ESTATE: YOU FURTHERMORE AGREE THAT THE OWNER OF THESE SIMS, NEVERMORE AND AMONTILLADO, AND ITS LEGAL PARTICIPANTS DEFER ONTO THE TRESPASSING PARTY ALL RESPONSIBILITY BEYOND THIS AGREEMENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LEGAL LIABILITIES.

YOUR ENTRANCE INTO THIS ESTATE, TAMERLANE (SIMS INCLUDE NEVERMORE AND AMONTILLADO), DECLARES THAT YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS; IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND AND AGREE, DO NOT ENTER THIS SIM.
